Purdue “Compliments Guys” Offer Warm Cheer on Cool Days
Purdue sophomores Cameron Brown and Brett Westcott felt things were getting a bit gloomy. So every Wednesday, the pair stand outside the Wetherhill Lab of Chemistry from about 12:30 to 2:00, complimenting passers-by on everything from their clothes and acessories, to hairstyles, to the textbooks they’re holding. They have been doing this since the start of the school year, and their unique project and persistence has won them a lot of media attention. The students like the injection of cheer the ”Compliments Guys” bring. Both Brown and Westcott say they won’t entertain any media obligations that might mean missing a Wednesday.
