Pulled In All Directions: The Begining of the Academic Year

While the duties of a community college dean and a housing officer probably don’t overlap that much, they both have to deal with competing demands for their attention and energies, especially at this time of year. Today, in Inside HigherEd’s blog Confessions of a Community College Dean, a blogger who goes by the moniker Dean Dad describes his strategy for dealing with the fall craziness. He uses an unusal metaphor to do it, but one you’re all familiar with, thanks to the county fair and amusement parks.
